SAMODE BAGH- THE INCREDIBLE GARDEN RESORT
Rajasthan state of India is a Royal treasure of Culture and Heritage. In my previous blog I shared my experience at Samode Palace and today is about Samode Bagh( Bagh means Garden) which is another beautiful heritage property of Samode which attracts many visitors from all over the world.
Samode is located in the regal Indian state of Rajasthan about 42 km from the capital city Jaipur.
HISTORY
Samode Bagh was constructed more than 400 years ago by Rawal Sheo Singhji, with an amazing geometric style architect of the Mughal Garden. The beautiful Bagh or a garden is built on 20 acres of grounds combined with warmth and luxury, an atmosphere that is calm, peaceful and of course relaxing. The garden is stretched for about three blocks and is enclosed by a 15 foot high stone wall.
WHY SAMODE BAGH
Samode was one of the princely places of Jaipur, built in the 19th century and is famous for its havelis and forts. The highlighting of the building is the exquisite Diwan-i-khas covered with original paintings and mirror work. It's a perfect spot for Parties, Family gathering and perfect as Wedding Venue.
Samode is a famous destination for visitors to explore the SamodePalace, Samode Haveli as well as Samode Bagh.
ACCOMMODATIONThis heritage structure is famous for its aesthetic value with a traditional garden and comfortable accommodation.
Away from the noisy city, a place where you are as close to nature as you can be. When I first had an external look it was like a tent and I was not ready not knowing what comfort was waiting for me.
Looks like a tent but the rooms are not less than comfortable luxurious rooms with all facilities.with the benefits of being in nature.
The room is very spacious with a neat linen. I liked the separate area for dressing and luggage close to the washroom which are again nice with all complimentary toiletries of good brand. Also an extra space for luggage and dressing area.
I was enjoying every minute of my stay in Samode Bagh. The evening was pleasant with perfect weather and Bonfire, a nice hot cup of coffee with my favourite snacks Paneer Tikka. This is what I call a perfect evening.
There is nothing like the warmth and fun of sitting around a fire to turn a winter evening into a memorable night with friends. Bonfires in the garden with a group of friends, family or your partner makes your night so special.
The dinner was arranged at the Palace during our visit and words are not enough to describe the perfection of Royal Cuisine by expert chefs with great hospitality.
Samode Bagh is a perfect place if you wish to stay away from the everyday rush life from noise polluted cities. A place where you are as close to nature as you can be. I had one of the most beautiful mornings when I woke up with the chirping of the birds. I had to go out and feel nature. The Sound of lots of birds to my surprise could actually see a peacock in front of my eyes. I could see trees loaded with Indian Gooseberry and tamarind trees. The amazing gardens with fountains and beautiful colourful flowers. I liked the small pond-like area of pink Lotus flowers.
Samode Bagh is the perfect place to spend time with your family or just a casual get together such as parties.
Best place to stay if you need a break from a long work schedule or just family night out Nature at its best with birds and plants.
Best place to stay if you need a break from a long work schedule or just family night out Nature at its best with birds and plants. Winters are my favorite time to visit but you can plan as per your schedule and when possible.
GREAT HOSPITALITY BY STAFF
One of the most defining characteristics of Indian culture is hospitality. People in India have the highest regard for guests and value hospitality. This implies not only in families but can feel in the staff members of hospitality industries. There's A saying here in India "atithi devo bhav,” meaning, “Guests are like God.” The saying has as much meaning for Indian hosts as it does for foreign guests.
This being said I like to mention the wonderful caring staff who did a fabulous job to look after all the group members and other guests with us. The staff is very friendly and courteous and polite. Would recommend everyone to stay and enjoy the property.
Extremely welcoming staff!
