BHANGARH FORT - INDIA'S MOST HAUNTED PLACE

We all love to go for vacations to the most luxurious destinations or cruises around the world. How about add a little bit of SPOOKY adventure by visiting a HAUNTED place. This is very much possible when you next plan your vacations to Rajasthan, India.
During my trip to India last year I was very much interested to experience one of the most haunted places of India, BHANGARH FORT. We were in a group and for sure it was going to be a very exciting trip.
Distance from Delhi to Bhangarh Fort  is approximately 5 hrs drive by road. If you are in Jaipur you can plan a day trip since its around 84 km from Jaipur and will take 2 hrs to reach by road.
Our first destination was Sariska Tiger  Reserve. It was a long tiring day but great that we had booking at Sariska Palace for the night stay. The Palace is just opposite the Reserve and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with all the  luxury and comfort.
Next day was super exciting as I was about to visit Bhangarh Fort believed to be one of the most haunted places in India. The thought was making me happy but with a mix of a bit nervousness. Let me tell you I do believe in spirits and the presence of souls.
Bhangarh Fort is a 17th Century fort in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan State of India. Bhangarh fort is a Historical place and we can see the ruins of fort which explains how beautifully it was built by Bhagwant Das for his son Madho Singh in the 17th Century. There are different stories behind the mystery  of this fort and is believe to be cursed.
The Fort is at an amazing geographical location with hills and greenery around.
Now it has ruins and at the entrance of the fort there are many Hindu temples like Hanuman Temple, Mangla Devi , Gopinath ji and few more.
We were curious to enter and finally the Moment was here. Entering the fort gave me goosebumps . During our visit we got a chance to talk with local people and came to know the  rumours about people hearing the sounds and screams of crying woman, sound of bangles and ghostly shadows during night. It is also believed that  there are people who tried to stay overnight were either lost or died. Not sure how true these stories are but yes a lot to hear scary tales of Bhangarh Fort. All this was going in my mind but I was able to have a look around and yes I was enjoying without any fear may be because it was daytime. Entry to
Bhangarh Fort is prohibited after sunset .
The one reason being Sariska Tiger Reserve border touching the  Bhangarh fort therefore there could be a possible animal encounter . The other  being Haunted due to the paranormal activities. A signboard by ASI  ( Archeological Survey of India) has all the instructions to be followed by visitors.
The visiting hours are between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm. You have to leave premises before sunset so plan accordingly.
The travel tour agent can assist you be make all the arrangements and bookings. Just in case you wish to plan few things to keep in mind while planning.
There are no hotels around fort but you can book accommodation in advance in Alwar resorts, Sariska palace, Amanbagh or Umaid Lake palace are few among them.
The best time to visit Bhangarh Fort is during the months of September to March.
It gets really very hot during the summer and days in Rajasthan can be very hot with very high temperatures  as compared to other cities . It can be tiring and exhausting as well.
Foreign tourists need special entery permit so make sure you have permit.
The vehicles are not allowed inside the fort so be prepared to walk and make sure you have comfortable pair of footwears.
Phones and cameras are allowed but there are charges for commercial cameras fee.
We had an amazing trip and while driving back to Jaipur we all had lot to talk and share our experiences . While talking and enjoying we all reached Jaipur.
I have shared my personal experience and might have missed on few points but I suggest you to visit and explore such places . Bhangarh fort is beautiful worth visiting and must not be missed during your Rajasthan India Tour Package.
