5 BEST STREET FOOD IN JAIPUR FOR VEGETARIANS, INDIA
Jaipur capital city of Rajasthan, India is also known as Pink City is the biggest city of Rajasthan.
The Pink City is known for its various attractions such as Forts, Palaces , Handicrafts and more. Soon I will share all that but today it's Food Time. In today's blog I will mention street food for vegetarians like me and later will share my blog for meat lovers. Before I start I would like to say that I am not a food expert and I have no intentions to judge the food and the place. I am just sharing my honest experiences. I respect food and the person who cooks.
The top on my food tour list is
PYAAZ KI KACHORI BY RAWAT MISHTAN BHANDAR
Pyaaz( onion) Kachori is a deep fried bread crispy and flaky from outside but hollow from inside stuffed with a spicy mix of onions and potatoes served with chutney . Also love Mirchi Vada which is a bit spicy as this consists of green chili cut and stuffed with a mixture of potatoes and dry spices. This is then dipped in the batter of gram flour and deep fried ( Served Hot). Both these snacks can be enjoyed as a breakfast or any time of the day ( Since deep fried I personally don't like to have it during late evening).
Pyaaz Kachori will cost you around INR 35.00 per piece. The shop is located at Sindhi Camp which is close to the bus stop of Jaipur. Not sure if it has other new branches.
LASSI
Lassi is made of yogurt nicely blend with sugar and a little bit of water
Lassi . The drink is served in a clay cup with a layer of Malai on the top which makes it super delicious.
This is super yummy and again I NEVER MISS!
The shop is located on MI Road of Jaipur.
There are so many shops in a row and look for a neat hygienic place.
The cost of one glass is 40 INR
MASALA TEA GULAB JI CHAI WALA
Masala Tea is the most favorite of all Indian families. Everytime Anytime Anywhere and with Anyone can be Tea time in Indian families. I still remember the best time having tea with my family with all that Gossips and Fun.
Gulab ji chai wala at MI Road Jaipur is one of the most loved spots for jaipurites and visitors from outside for fresh tea. This place Serves the best tea in Jaipur.
If I am not wrong the shop opens around 5.00 am and costs you Indian INR 20 only. People also order Samosa, Buns with butter or kachoris. Tea and snacks will cost you approximately Indian Rs 50.00 per person ( approx 1 Canadian dollar).
Situated opposite Ganpati Plaza on MI Road, Jaipur
KULFI FALUDA
Bapu Bazar in Jaipur is one of my and I am sure for many a favorite shopping spot and is busy all day. Bapu Bazaar is not only about shopping but it is also famous for its street foods. One among these is the best Kulfi shop.
Cold dessert made with ice cream with different flavours of syrup and the noodles is this cold desert is very refreshing.
The shop is believed to be the best place serving kulfi from ages. I have been enjoying it since I was a little girl. Still remember going out shopping with my mom and then with my university friends and now with my family when in India.
The one thing that can be changed or improved is the sitting area which is very small and congested. Not many people can sit and you have no place to sit and eat.
The cost for one person is INR 80.00 ( Approx depending on size)
CHAWLA AND NAND
Located on Jaipur' s Fashion street Raja Park this place is so crowded with most favourite golgappa (pani puri) Dipped in sweet and spicy chutneys. I honestly enjoy Rajkachori here as for Golgappa I have other places making it much better but again it all depends on the individual' s taste. I think chow mein is not bad either. So in one shop you get a lot of varieties.
Cost depends on the items and can start with INR 50.00
I enjoy every single day when I visit Jaipur and visiting these places makes me feel nostalgic . All this reminds me of my beautiful memories which make me sad and happy ! Spend as much time as you can with your loved ones.
